In the Grand Archives of Aethelgard, knowledge is guarded by Leximagic—spells woven into the very text. Robyn, a rising master Scribe, believed that perfect order guaranteed salvation, until her own cutting-edge security protocol was catastrophically sabotaged. Framed for incompetence by the ambitious Lord Kaelan, who coveted her position, she was demoted after a forbidden treatise was unleashed, releasing the first Book Raven, a shadowy manifestation of unbound chaos.

Robyn is exiled to the Archives’ mundane section, her integrity shattered. However, she is soon sought out by Elijah, an outcast scholar who trusts only the apocrypha and sees the glaring grammatical flaws in Robyn’s official condemnation.

Together, the meticulous Scribe and the street-smart linguist must partner to track a wave of escalating Book Ravens, which are violently escaping specialized tomes and unleashing localized reality-bending chaos across the city. They quickly discover the escape is not random; Kaelan is secretly feeding vulnerable texts to the Sons of the Erasure, a cult harvesting the Ravens’ raw magic to forge the Primordial Blankness—an artifact capable of erasing the laws of existence and remaking reality.

To restore her name and prevent the annihilation of all knowledge, Robyn must construct Containment Books using her scorned protocol, while Elijah uses his knowledge of the city’s underbelly to track the cult. They must re-bind the chaos she was blamed for creating, expose Kaelan’s treachery, and save Aethelgard from being overwritten by a world of pure void.
